This one takes me back...

September 23, 2013

So I think I lost some more recent entries because the site was down all this morning. Oh well, what can I do but email the host. I am a big fan of those sugary cocktails now thanks to Jacq. She made some concoction on Friday night. We got to hear the beautiful opera singers perform right outside our door as we sipped on fancy drinks. I think we tried watching GOT but ended up talking instead. Queena is actually pretty good with tennis. All of the courts were in use. Everyone was a nazi about their reservations. Apparently, Queena can get in for free because of her school ID. No need to pay the guest fee. I biked down to Joseph and Meg's baby shower. Yes, I consumed chicken wings. I bonded with Manh-Dinh and caught up with his parents. Andre almost believed Manh-Dinh was my baby. I biked back uptown and took in a long nap. I closed all of the windows and turned on the AC. It was the first time I turned on the AC since turning it off a couple weeks ago. Sandrine and I finished a bottle of sparkling over dumplings and noodles. I managed to finish the French film the next morning. She was right...it was a tearjerker. I walked home in the rain after drinking all that spiked punch with Sheryl and her crew. Her mom was by far the centerpiece, followed by the birthday girl. Just when you think it all ended, it comes back. I almost forgot about Khoi's brunch. Good thing I didn't go on the hike with Sandrine. The place KNT wanted closed down so we walked up the block. No bread with my Mexican eggs? After walking around in circles, we found the Doughnut Plant bench to be a perfect spot to sit. I took in a good afternoon nap once again. I need my naps on the weekends.

When will this humid weather end? I was up on the shuttle this morning for the first time since early May. The bus was almost full. Of course, I was the only one waiting at my stop. I'm also back at Palladium. Coles was good for the summer, but I prefer Palladium any day. The three day weekend is never enough. I think Sandrine convinced me that the yoga trip to India may be a waste of money. I am to contact her local tour agent in India. I also want to do Southeast Asia. Speaking of which, Mike has relocated to Cambodia. I need to finish Berlin and Accra. After that is Student Life and I'm home free. I cannot give up the 5. The 4 seems tempting because it will save me a lot of money but the 5 is preferable.
