Chi Tam is in town. The last time she was here was about 1.5 years ago. We ran into Scott as we waited for a cab
to take her downtown to her sister's place. We pretty much gobbled up pho within 45 minutes. I think it was more like
30 minutes. We didn't even get a cafe sua da for Jacqueline. Her request popped up after we left Pho Bang.
We helped Jacqueline drop off her purged clothing at Housing Works. We paid a visit to Dirk at the Think coffee shop
on Bleecker. The spring rolls still taste good after being in the freezer for some time. "It Follows" was pretty good.
The plot was sort of ridiculous, but everything else was well made including the music. Ngoc sent me a couple
good white cake recipes. I will try one of them in a couple weeks when I am in possession of the stand mixer again.
Speaking of which, my hand mixer died a few weeks ago.

The trees outside my office are slowly blossoming their leaves. I'm not sure if blossoming is the correct word but
nonetheless, I see green leaves sprouting on the tree branches. Spring is almost here...not today though. We have a high
of about 55 and sunny skies. Apparently, the renovated apartment above me is super luxurious because we noticed
a heavy duty a/c unit built into the window. I had to buy my own a/c unit. I also attach and detach the units myself
as the seasons come and go. I'm curious to see how much better the apartment is compared to mine. I'm still not
liking the foot stomping in the early morning. The footsteps wake me up even if my white noise machine is turned on.
Instead of doing the fancy jitney, we will save some money and take the LIRR. Agnes brought up a good point. If the
trip is only three hours, save yourself $40 each way. Spend that money on food and drinks when you're in town.
No sense in getting pampered on a three hour ride. You can sleep on the train and not deal with traffic. At the end
of the line, Jacq and Dirk will pick us up with sparkling ready for consumption. The carrot cake and cheesecake were
a hit. Let's give the cakes a week to live out their days in the fridge. After that, trash them and start a new one.

I am obsessed with "Broad City"...a show about two single girls living in the Big Apple. It is shown on Comedy Central, but you can
stream season 1 through Amazon Prime. I came across the show by accident thinking it's a show produced by Amazon Prime.
It is super funny and very on point. You may think...here we go again with another show about
young people trying to make it in New York. The writing, acting, and story lines are by far above and beyond all other
"New York" shows. The trials and tribulations these two girls get into are somewhat unique to New York and can only
be funnier if you get the subtle references. I am halfway through season 2. Season 3 is to come out next year. I am
up to date with "The Americans". Clark took his wig off for Martha. He doesn't want her to leave because it will create
suspicion. The daughter now knows about her crazy parents. She should go to the neighbor and spill the beans.
The apartment above me is finally occupied with a new tenant. A Sleepy's mattress was delivered late last week
to an apartment on one of the floors above me. I suspect it's the neighbor above me because I hear footsteps on
my ceiling now. I didn't have any footsteps above me for about a year. The neighbor right next to me was also very
quiet accept for the occasional garlic cooking she does, which seep through my thin walls. I am blessed to only share
my wall with one very quiet neighbor. The one above me is a chronic stomper.

All day yesterday, I was in bed. I probably ate something the night before and had a strong reaction to it.
The stomach ache came first, then the chills and body aches. I asked my dinner companions if they experienced the same
bad reaction, but they were fine. It must have been the one piece of meat I ate from the platter of meats. Just my luck,
I had to eat the bad one. I took Advil Cold & Sinus to lesson the chills. I sweat it out for much of last night.
I woke up this morning feeling much better. I even biked into the office.

This cold weather is dragging its feet. It will not go away. So our office has hired consultants to help us
with the risk assessment. It is funny to see them in our space because they are essentially auditors. I see them being
us in audits that we do. We request office space and work with the client throughout the day. We may spend a majority
of our time sequestered in the borrowed office space and come out for scheduled meetings. I have to say it's my first
experience being on the other side. I'm sure they are assessing our performance and reporting back to the big boss
in their solo meetings. I am all about the change and looking forward to the outcome. There have been some changes
in the past few weeks, some of them quite drastic from what we are used to. This is expected and was conveyed to us
from the beginning. I am slowly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I am confident the process will play itself
out.
