June 30, 2011
I had Num Pang for lunch in my office. After work, we rushed over to Hell's Kitchen for 5 Napkin Burger but the place was ridiculously crowded. Next time, call in for reservations. We walked over to Southern Hospitality for some BBQ ribs and fried chicken. It was definitely an FC meal. Olivia gave us dark meat instead of white. Because of the mistake, she gave us two pieces of chicken breast instead of one. We looked for Pinkberry in the neighborhood but it was no where to be found. I ended up getting a sundae from MCD's. The show was good in that there was no one in front of us. It's one of the better shows I have seen in a while. All the flying around is definitely true. I didn't care too much for the music. This one takes me back to my karaoke days in Dallas.
June is coming to an end. Construction on Grand St continues. Charlie, Jacq, and I have filed multiple complaints with 311. I filed an online complaint with Community Board #2. I even emailed 7 On Your Side. According to the permit, construction is to end in the middle of July. The "workarounds" around this mess include not sleeping at home, sleeping on the couch, and taking sleep-aid pills. I am off to Spiderman tonight...finally. No da vu for me this weekend. Dat and his family will go instead. Pork chops at Excellent Pork Chop House was okay. I liked the noodles more than the actual pork chop. I received an order via email that was written in Chinese. Sleep No More looks very interesting. I am a huge fan of interactive shows. Julie, of course you can sleep alone in your big apartment. Just stay under the covers and hide yourself from the monsters. They can't see you. I have a bag of beef jerky in the fridge at the office. Apparently, I need to eat at least one piece to determine if it is the source of a food poisoning that took place a couple days ago. I would hate to throw away the entire bag. Chi Tam is leaving and Sandrine arrives. The boys are finally driving the cars I bought for them months ago. I have a date with Celine later in July and a meeting of the siblings in Destin. Let's not forget Dao Lua as well.
When will the damn construction end?
This one is for C. Precious Nguyen.
Yes, I have been neglecting this site for obvious reasons. I have too many excuses not to write anything on here. Where do I start? Julie does not have wifi and Anh Quan's wifi was supposed to work but I could not detect any signal. I had no idea Starbucks has free wifi. I remember when they allowed 2 hours of free wifi if you were a gold starbucks member of some sort. Free wifi is a good idea because everyone else offers it too. I am waiting on Agnes to finish reviewing my work so I can go in and clear her coaching notes. It was good seeing all the four kids grown up. Cameron is definitely a young lady. The kids see Chu Toan (Uncle Bee) in pictures, but I am real just like Santa Claus. Eddie thinks he gained weight. Yes, he is driving a fancy ride. It was a huge surprise. I ate five crawfish yesterday. I couldn't finish a whole bag because I had to meet up with Chi San and Chi Sen. I am going to do crawfish tomorrow night at Hong Kong Market. Hoa oi...oops, I need to remember that you are legally Julie now. Themy's wedding was a lot of fun. The seating assignment was perfect. I cannot wait to see them in New York. Joel is supposed to help me look good, but I am too lazy to iron my wrinkled suit. Besides, it's just too hot to wear a suit in 100 degree weather. My brother and I ran into Nhu Loan at B Bistro. She was very pleasant and friendly. I have a burnt CD of random music. I woke up this morning with a full house. The guests were in transit from Kansas City to San Antonio. Pho Colonial was okay, but not great.
Three words...I am sunburned.
I can't keep up any more.
Lame.
