I am obsessed with My Tam and her new album, Tam 9. Her latest single made me want to buy the entire album, eventhough I already bought three other songs from her album. Her songs are super depressing. I am calling her the Adele of Vietnam. I wonder if she's been married or is with someone. All of her songs are about being broken hearted and how she can't live anymore. Well, it's not that morbid but it's the same genre as Sam Smith and Adele. Paul made it back from Round Top with Aunt Candi. We are supposed to start on landscaping this weekend. Let's see how it goes. We were supposed to go to Dallas for the weekend but I screwed up by scheduling a Thursday afternoon meeting. Plus, the meeting is in Tulsa which delays our ride to Dallas. Sham won't be in town anyway so we have to plan for another weekend. Julie, it's okay... don't let those bad folks get to you. You are bigger and better than they are. Let all those bad ones ride out and hope they never come back to your restaurant.

It must be nice to have live crawfish shipped into town by your parents. Crawfish is life y'all! Speaking of which, Nathan and Jillian are having their annual crawfish boil next weekend. If it weren't for the crawfish boil and the OKC Ballet Ball, we would be in Dallas next weekend. I feel bad for not visiting with Julie. She has a strong following going and will only get bigger. Her food really does speak for itself, even if she is cooking out of a gas station. There's no wrong in that at all. A full kitchen is a full kitchen, regardless of where it is located. Khoi, I think you are now fully educated on what is expected when filing your taxes. This is a unique year for you guys indeed. Last night's Yelp event at Dust Bowl was the best to date. We pretty much rolled in and were given cocktail options and food. Marci and I didn't bowl so we just watched everyone else bowl. It was great seeing the infamous Julie back in action. It should be another great year ahead with the Elite Squad!

I survived the weekend. Actually, there wasn't much going on. On Friday night, we met up with Team Bless for dinner at Neko. After that, we stopped by the Barrel to wait up on the Williams. The Williams took care of us when we got to VZD's for a 40 year reunion party. We didn't get the memo to dress up, but it was fine. The next morning, I attended the neighborhood association meeting. I collected some checks, reported them, and deposited with the bank. I stopped by Nhu Lan and pretty much bought everything they had. Keely stopped by with her homemade kimchi pork dumplings. They were excellent but needed a bit more stuffing. I baked some colorful snickerdoodle cookies for the afternoon trek through Midtown and Automobile Alley. After we were done with the walking tour, we got back to the house and snacked on leftovers. The next day, Paul was out the door to Round Top with Aunt Candi. I stayed back and hung out with Chris for a bit. I caught up on some errands and called it a day. It was a good weekend.

There's only a week left in March and Easter is already here next Sunday. It's nice getting Good Friday off. I didn't get it off when I was up north. Taylor, I am starting to realize that you are Kelly. Yes, you are a younger version of Kelly. I'll tell you in person why I think this. You'll agree with me as well. It's nice getting picked up by people as opposed to driving yourself to places. You don't need to worry about driving and the people picking you up and dropping you up act as your personal Uber driver. On top of this, it's free! You also have the option of getting an Uber if you want to go home on your own. Khoi, congrats on almost getting sworn in. It's your last ritual to becoming a citizen of this godforsaken country. Are you sure you want to go through this? You still have time to change your mind.

I survived training in Louisville, Kentucky. I have never been to that part of the country so it was a bit odd at first. I know they're known for their Kentucky Derby and their bourbon. That's pretty much it. They also pronounce Louisville funny. My Uber driver gave me a lesson on how to pronounce the city name correctly. It was definitely weird to hear how the locals say it. The highlight of the trip was the interaction with other university and college auditors. We exchanged war stories and made the discussion fun. I also got to spend some quality time with Kelly and learned a thing or two from her. On the night before and the morning of our last day there, it snowed like crazy. Lucky for us, the snow stopped around noon time and our flight departed at 4pm later that day. A bunch of people who were supposed to leave the night before or that morning had their flights cancelled and rebooked on later flights. I'm glad we stayed until the very end. The class made me aware of risks and controls that never crossed my mind. The other takeaway from the trip was how everyone speaks across the country. You have your southern drawls, midwestern quack accents, the fast New Yorkers, and the very neutral Northwest. Even with the southern drawls, I heard differences among those from Alabama, Georgia, and Texas. At the end of the day, all of the nerds came together to learn from one another.

I'm still loving my McDonalds iced vanilla latte to get me going in the morning. If I am hungry, I throw in the $1 sausage mcmuffin. You can't go wrong with a little caffeine and some protein to get you going for the day. Josh and I drove up to Tulsa for some meetings and drove back. I worked from home for the rest of the afternoon. Katy and Jennifer now have their websites and domains squared away. I was basically tech support for a good 45 minutes. It was bugging me that something was off. We didn't get off the phone until everything was corrected. I finished documenting my notes from the meetings and called it a day. I caught up on Forge of Empires and snacked on some leftover Cheetos. We went for dinner at Fassler. It was more of snacks and apps for dinner. We had pretzels, tater tots, and mini hot dogs. I asked that the waitress leave the pitcher of water for me at our table but she respectfully declined. She said the water pitcher is to be used to refill all of the other customers glasses too. She said she will keep coming back to refill my water, which she did. We hurried home to load the car up with the West Elm couch and the two chairs. I settled in the for the night and watched some interesting cooking shows on PBS...good immigrant stories like the ones David Chang is doing with Ugly Delicious. I kept waking up thinking I would sleep through the alarm, which I never do. The garage door has been fixed. It looks like there was some wiring that got in the way of the sensor. It no longer opens up on its own. All the trash, including the bulk trash, are gone. The lawn looks good except for the missing landscape, which Candi has marked for us. We need to get going on the digging. Blain needs to get our gardening stuff back. Taylor, I hope you recover from your injury. We need you back in full form for the upcoming race! Happy Friday and make it an awesome GREEN weekend!

Gosh, what hasn't happened since I last wrote on here? It's been a very weird month. We all have our ups and downs, but we all must get past those low points. Instead of a typical crossfit sesh, Tess and I had to do these crazy lifts and jerks and snatches...yes, the crazy names people have for the exercises. I definitely need to recreate them on my own. It's all about your form and maintaining a good balance. I always forget to use my core in all that I do. LPNA is going to do awesome things this year. Just wait and see. I dropped my phone yesterday and it's a bit cracked right now. This is very disappointing considering I have a phone case and a screen shield. Congratulations to Tammy and Alex! I can't wait to meet Baby Shum soon! Next one up is Baby Peters! Although, Jacqueline prefers we call her Baby Oceane. She needs to get used to the Peters name.

I might as well move to Tulsa. I drive way too many times to Tulsa. Why can't I be in Oklahoma City like everyone else?
