So I didn't win the powerball drawing. I don't live in Arizona or Missouri. I live in New York. I experienced some very real dreams last night about winning some of the jackpot. $50K would have been nice. Well after taxes, it would probably be more like a take home purse of $20K. I woke up this morning comparing my numbers to the winning numbers. I don't think I got any of the numbers that were drawn...so pathetic. Chan doi is the word. Precious, congrats on winning $4! It's definitely something. I don't think I will play again. At least my money went to supporting local schools...I think.

Kyle and I are on a roll today. We have been going back and forth and pushing emails out. Luckily, people are responding right on the spot too. This helps a lot because we can only move forward if people respond. I have left my offsite office and back at my own office. I lugged a few bags back with me to the office. I felt like the bag lady, Chi Tam. She would always come to my apartment with several tote bags and purses. I have no idea what she lugged around. It was pretty funny. So guess what I got her when I was in Long Beach? I got her another tote bag. I thought she doesn't use tote bags any more, but she insisted she still uses tote bags even if she has a car. She still has to carry stuff to/from the car. KNT wants to give me back the burlap bag. It was shedding way too much. No wonder the bag was only $5. I was unsuccessful in procuring the big table for Addison. I was so close to getting it. I should have made an executive decision and assign CC to pick up the item. Because I waited for her response, the table sold out. Amazon has the same table but it is $100 more than what Toys R Us was selling. I have decided to stop pursuing that table and to contribute to his bunk bed. I think he is sleeping on an air mattress now. Poor guy...So the itinerary for Hanoi is confirmed. I was only kidding about yesterday's follow up, but I'm glad I mentioned it because there was a misunderstanding between both parties. The next thing I will need is a spreadsheet detailing our plans in the capital city. I'm kidding, Mike!

I expected very cold and wet weather this morning, but it wasn't bad at all. It barely sprinkled and the air was not so cold. Maybe the four layers of clothing I wore helped. I am a huge fan of Uniqlo's heattech. It's a very thin layer of fabric, yet it creates heat when you move around. I sometimes sweat in cold weather because of it. When you arrive at the warm indoor office or apartment, the heat slowly disappears. I slept on the dot at 10PM last night, but I woke up around 3AM. I managed to fall back asleep an hour later. The apartment is extremely warm because of the radiator is on full blast. I had to crack open the bedroom window. Toys R Us played me. I should have bought the train table yesterday instead of waiting all day for Mrs. Nguyen to get back to me about who would pick it up. Now the train table is completely sold out in all of the New Orleans metro area. Amazon sells it for $100 more plus they charge shipping. I may just give him cash instead. It's ridiculous how much these tables cost. Precious's flights to MSY have been booked all thanks to United's amazing phone app. You can buy tickets for whoever you want, not just your own. It was fairly simple and very user friendly. I don't think you can book tickets on AA or Delta's apps.

So the scare turned out to be nothing. I have to say...it was my first time experiencing the claustrophobic ordeal. Luckily, I was told about what to expect before the procedure. The technicians did not say much. Regina was a sweetheart. She emailed and called me. She even penciled me in on the same day I called. Who can ask for a better provider? Let's just wait to see how much I owe. One thing you should never do is drink while cooking. Well, it's okay if you don't go overboard. On Thanksgiving day, I got in a 2 hour nap right before dinner began. The nap made me a bit drowsy afterwards. It took me another couple hours to get back to normal. The diet begins today. I will try to maintain it for as long as I can. With every year, it gets more difficult to deal with the holidays. Argo is a must see. I was impressed with the Golden Unicorn. Service was blah like any other dim sum places, but the food was quite tasty. However, I did not like the peanut sauce on my banh uot. Hoisin sauce would have been sufficient. Yes, I have a stalker watching my every move. I can easily disable my "GPS", but it is funny how Big Brother can track your whereabouts. I skipped out on the shopping this past weekend. It's another week of work and then Janet arrives later this week. We have nothing planned so far.

I am still without a personal laptop. I don't think I need one. I have been living without one since earlier this year. The phone is all I really need. One of these days...I shall go to that authorized vendor off of Union Square to get the old laptop fixed. I have had many opportunities to get it done but I ended up being too lazy. So the office is moving a few blocks up. I think we will be on 17th St instead of the current 13th St location. It should happen at some point in February or March of next year. I think I will still take the shuttle to/from work. The boys should go visit Di Chang for Christmas since no one will be home. Yes, it's very chan doi to not have the family together as in previous years. Who is next?

I survived Cali...I think. I did not want to leave. There was some unnecessary drama with Miss Nunez and her friend. Luckily, the friend did not arrive and flew straight to Vegas instead. Miss Nunez managed to find someone, but that person lived out all the way in the valley. Driving can be a bitch. I finally got a chance to use my voice activated GPS system on my phone. It was quite impressive. She was very precise. Nathan advised me not to follow the GPS instructions to get to his place. I ignored him and followed the instructions any way. I showed up right at his gate. For less price, you can get more footage. The only catch is you must drive everywhere. I don't miss driving at all. Everyone refers to me as "em" even if they are my mom's age. I reply with a "co" and "chu". I never made it to the Catholic Center but I managed to pick up a few of the La Vang statues. I felt bad for returning two that I bought the previous day to the merchant. I was her first customer the next day. I gave her an extra dollar for good luck since my transaction consisted of returning and buying goods. When you are the first customer for a merchant, what you buy determines the merchant's total sales for the day. If you go in there and buy nothing, you'll be lucky to make one sale all day long. It's superstition stuff. I have attained status...finally. Angel from the Philippines gave me the wrong information.

Last week was pretty crazy. For the first time in the school's history, we were closed for five days straight. Why? There was no power below thirtysomething street. I have no idea where all the students went. I know some of them were housed in Kimmel Center where there was power. Some of the buildings run off of our own co-generation plant. However, almost all run off of the Con Ed grid. I stayed in Williamsburg all last week. They did not lose any power. It was as if nothing happened across the river and uptown. I came back on Friday to clean out my fridge. I had to get rid of my mom's pork and fried onions. The ice cream did not burst through its seams as I had anticipated. Power came back on that evening. I was watching Cloud Atlas in downtown Brooklyn at that time. The bike definitely came in handy since all public transportation outlets were suspended or running on limited schedules. I returned on Saturday to a clean apartment. It was quite warm. Viet came back from Portland. Because the marathon was cancelled, we ended up running in the park any way to crowds of cheering fans.
